How do we pray?
Praying according to his will-holliness,observation of God´s commandments etc but let me dwell on one thing that we often ignore. God answers our prayers
according to his will (and according to his wisdom, his love for us, his holiness, etc.). Where we often disconnect is when we assume that we know what his will should
be,matching (or substituting) it with ours. When we pray,we are in contention with the devil who is always accusing us. We have to quote the facts of the law that nullifies his accusations so we can win our cases. Please check Why do we pray?(1) and (2).  Addressing each issue in a targetted prayer manner, eg naming the spirits. Letting them know you know about their presence and going on to drive them away. When you pray by mentioning the specific names of demons,it makes them awareof and apprehensive of the fact that their cover has been blown. Just like a criminal who is operating under cover would lose his operational confidence to play on if he has been discoverd, a demon would also not find it conducive to continue operating under a blown up cover. Their activities are associated with secrecy and deceit so they don´t find it conducive to be discoverd. When you shine the light of God into their dark corners,they fade away. (John 1:5)´´And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not´´. When you mention their names,it is a sure indicator that you have discovered them and they would flee. So discovery is the first step in getting rid of the enemy and only the spirit of God can lead you to discover them. An enemy unidentified could be dangerous since you are likely not to know where he is fighting from, or where to direct your counter attack or defence. Excersising your God-given dominion over them. quoting the word of God that gives you the right to overpower and unseat them. (Luke 10:19)´´Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you´´. Giving God back his words..as if you were in a court to win a case. (Isaiah 43:26)´´Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified´´.
Ask God for the blessings you deserve. For instance,God would Give you a wife but not another man´s wife and for the women,vice versa. He would fulfil all his promises to you,if you fulfil his commandments. If you need a partner and the one you ask for is one that is already married to someone else,then you should be ready not to have the request granted because God would not supplant a marriage for your sake. It would not even do you any good,if he granted it. (Proverbs 6:32)´´But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul´´.
Let´s be equipt with the scripture. It is of tremendous advantage to be well read in the word of God so as not to be ignorant regarding the promises of God to you. You could only request for something of whose existience you are aware. If you do not know that God could forgive your sins,you could as well die in sin!(2 Timothy 2:15)´´Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth´´. (Hosea 4:6)´´My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children´´. (Psalm 1:1-3)´´Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper´´.
In the name of Jesus. Whenever,wherever and however we pray without adding ´´in the name of Jesus´´,our prayer is like a posted letter without envelope,set aside the address that should be on the envelope. If we write a letter and post it without an envelope or addressee,it is sure not to arrive our desired destinatio! That is how our prayers miss heavenly target without the appropriate address: ´´in the name of Jesus´´! So also will demons ignore anybody who attempts to cast them out without mentioning that name,which is the source of the Power doing the miracle! It is not enough to enumerate all our needs without mentioning the name of Jesus. It would be like a letter without an envelope or address!(John 14:14)´´If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it´´. Praye should however,not only be an avenue to ´´beg´´ God to do something for us when we are in serious need or trouble! We should learn to fellowship with God even in good times and build a relationship with him. In this way,God becomes closer and sees your problems as his own and would not rest until he solves it.
