The reason for and the importance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

On seeing that the world continued to be marred with sin,God decided to pay the supreme blood sacrifice for our redemption by giving his only begotten Son,Jesus
Christ ´´For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God;´´(Romans 3:23); ´´For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life´´(John 3:16). .´´18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation
received by tradition from your fathers; 19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:´´(1 Peter 1) For us to be able to take a full advantage of the death of our lord Jesus by being saved,we need to acknowledge his sacrifice and accept him into our lives.´´For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation´´.´(Romans 10:10) There is no way that we can be truly healed of our infirmities,without believing him in our hearts and confessing him with our mouths.

Jesus Christ is the son of God who was sent down by his father as a sacrificial lamb to die and spill his blemishless blood on the earth to sanctify us and save us,only if we acknowledge,accept and claim the sacrifice made on our behalf. At this point,we need to know that God does not bully us into dictatorially accepting the Truth. He only tells us the truth and offers us a chance to accept or reject his offer,while subtly prompting us to make the choice that would be best for us even as it will hurt his feelings greatly if we finally reject such an offer of supreme sacrifice and value. A good example is your earthly father who,because he loves you too much,decides to buy you an extremely expensive dream car. He buys the car and notifies you,giving you the car´s particulars. The car is yours at your request. You only need to present the particulars and possess it. But you,just because maybe it is too beautiful to be true,decided to go all the way to pay your father´s neighbour much more money for a far less qualitative car,labouring thereby all your life while your father watches on in disappointment that you are being cheated and made to pay so hard for what is already yours; paid for in full and delivered to you,except that you deliberately and stubbornly decided to work so hard to pay for what your father already bought for you .´My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children´.(Hosea 4:6). Brethren,let us stop perishing for lack of knowledge. It´s time to receive God and enjoy all the accruing benefits. The things of the devil may look more attractive on the short run but the things of God are more durable and rewarding. ´´13Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it´´(Matthew 7); ´´1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper´´(Psalm 1:1-2). From the above bible verses we would have seen that even though it may not appear sometimes to be attractive because it is not laced with the garment of deceit,the ways and word of God is ultimately and eternally profitable.
