Deliverance.
In this ministry,we mostly concentrate on deliverance. and when one mentions deliverance,bondage or
captivity is what readily comes to mind. Deliverance
means to ´´set something or somebody free from oppression,arrest and detention´´. If we take a close look at bondage,detention or captivity. If a Policeman is not stronger than you (by his position of authority),he cannot arrest you and put you in prison. ** ´´No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house´´(Mark 3:27). You would agree with the above scripture that only one who is stronger than another can bind him and put him in bondage. That is how the devil arrests and detains some of us
because we are weaker,not having the spirit of God in us to fortify us against the devil. How? If we are not born again and do not obey God,the Spirit and Power of God leaves us and we become easy meat for the devil and that is the main reason the devil is not happy when we move close to God. Closeness to God places the devil at a serious disadvantage in our lives and he wants to remain in control AT ALL COST!
The kind of bondage that the devil puts his captives is not a physical one like the Police does so it is easy to overlook. But I can tell you that being dead is far better than living in spiritual bondage. Often times,people argue that they cannot be in bondage because they don´t see themselves physically within any metal cage or locked building. This is a typical example of ´´perishing for lack of knowledge´´(Hosea 4:6). Who said you are not locked within invissible(spiritual) cage or prison?
